DETROIT, MI (October 8, 2016) – Tonight William Broman, Republican candidate for State Representative in District 1 covering Grosse Pointe, Harper Woods, and Detroit issued the following statement regarding Donald Trump:

“Up to this point I have not made a public statement about the Presidential race because I have been focused on how we can improve District 1 and the city of Detroit with state level policies.  I am clarifying that I am not supportive of, nor have I ever endorsed Donald Trump.  I make this clarification because Mr. Trump’s recently revealed comments that he could make inappropriate and forced contact with a woman and get away with whatever he wanted because he was a celebrity, are horrific and in direct conflict with my third and fourth policy proposals that deal with sexual assault.  I continue to urge all voters to look carefully at the District 1 State House race and cast their vote based on ability to get things done and the character of each candidate, not based on party.”
