WILLIAM BROMAN STATEMENT ON AUGUST 2ND PRIMARY RESULTS
DETROIT, MI (August 3, 2016) – Today William Broman, candidate for State Representative in District 1 covering Grosse Pointe, Harper Woods, and Detroit issued the following statement regarding the August 2nd Primary Results for District 1:
“I would like to first acknowledge the strong campaigns run by Pamela Sossi, Washington Youson and others in the Democratic primary. Today we turn our focus to Brian Banks and continue working toward the November general election. Mr. Banks has often talked about issues facing District 1 over the last four years, but if voters look at the legislation he has introduced or his inability to work across the aisle they will see he has been ineffective. Proverbs 16:24-25 tells us ‘Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones. There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.’ Our communities deserve a voice in Lansing who can get to the root cause of a problem and create a solution from nothing as I have been able to do.”
